Try to read this article by David Letterman without thinking Democrat or Republican..... we need to all be grateful!!

'The other day I was reading Newsweek magazine and came across some Poll data I found rather hard to believe. It must be true given the source, right?
The Newsweek poll alleges that 67 percent of Americans are unhappy with the direction the country is headed and 69 percent of the country is unhappy with the performance of the President. In essence 2/3 of the citizenry just ain't happy and want a change. So being the knuckle dragger I am, I started thinking, 'What are we so unhappy about?''
A.. Is it that we have electricity and running water 24 hours a day, 7 days a week?
B.. Is our unhappiness the result of having air conditioning in the summer and heating in the winter?
C.. Could it be that 95.4 percent of these unhappy folks have a job?
D.. Maybe it is the ability to walk into a grocery store at any time and see more food in moments than Darfur has seen in the last year?
E.. Maybe it is the ability to drive our cars and trucks from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean without having to present identification papers as we move through each state?
F.. Or possibly the hundreds of clean and safe motels we would find along the way that can provide temporary shelter?
G.. I guess having thousands of restaurants with varying cuisine from around the world is just not good enough either.
H. Or could it be that when we wreck our car, emergency workers show up and provide services to help all and even send a helicopter to take you to the hospital.
I.. Perhaps you are one of the 70 percent of Americans who own a home.
J.. You may be upset with knowing that in the unfortunate case of a fire, a group of trained firefighters will appear in moments and use top notch equipment to extinguish the flames, thus saving you, your family, and your belongings.
K.. Or if, while at home watching one of your many flat screen TVs, a burglar or prowler intrudes, an officer equipped with a gun and a bullet-proof vest will come to defend you and your family against attack or loss.

M.. How about the complete religious, social and political freedoms we enjoy that are the envy of everyone in the world?
Maybe that is what has 67% of you folks unhappy.
Fact is, we are the largest group of ungrateful, spoiled brats the world has ever seen. No wonder the world loves the U.S. , yet has a great disdain for its citizens. They see us for what we are. economy out of recession? Could this be the same guy who has been called every name in the book for succeeding in keeping all the spoiled ungrateful brats safe from terrorist attacks? The commander in chief of an all-volunteer army that is out there defending you and me?
Did you hear how bad the President is on the news or talk show? Did this news affect you so much, make you so unhappy you couldn't take a look around for yourself and see all the good things and be glad?
Think about it......are you upset at the President because he actually caused you personal pain OR is it because the 'Media' told you he was failing to kiss your sorry ungrateful behind every day.

So why then the flat-out discontentment in the minds of 69 percent of Americans?

I am a senior in high school and i have a job at a pizza place. The girl i like sits in front of me in homeroom and in all of the classes we have together because all of our teachers seat us in alphabetical order. Well this past summer she started working at the same place i work and we started to become a lot better friends. By getting to know her it just makes me like her even more. Then on top of all of this my boss started joking around with us about us being alike and dating (even though we aren't dating). We both just laugh about it but she never really denies liking me.
So I guess the question is, how do i figure out if she likes me without causing the awkward working conditions if i just blatantly told her straight out that i liked her?

Here it is. Im 20 now, single and happy, BUT ive noticed that many times in life when ive liked a guy, ive kinda gotten over him if he liked me back too much or immediately, which is weird...come to think of it.
When I was 15 there was this guy in my class. I had a huge crush on him. We became friends 1 month after the crush and turned out he liked me too...well pretty much the moment I found that out...I liked him less..didnt realize it immediately, but looking back I can tell. We just grew apart cuz I just wasnt interested in him anymore after a while so ignored him and then that was it.
I was with a guy for about 3 months when I was 18 and I really liked him...a lot, until he became wayyyy to serious about us, told me he loved me and it got to be too much, I couldnt stand him after that, wasnt in love with him. It ended there.
Few months ago I met a guy at a friends party, as soon as I saw him I was like...wow..he's CUTE!! By the end of the night we'd been talking for hours...he seemed to be into me...and he was showing it too...but I was put off by that quite bit...he asked me out like a day later but I totally refused...he seemed obsessed with me in like a day..and that creeped me out a bit.
Now, there is this guy Im friends with and I am TOTALLY into him, he has a gf tho and he's not into me and I dont wanna mess things up for him and his gf, lately we've been spending a lot of time together and Im wondering to myself If i get him will I even want him anymore??
My parents are together, very much in love and are exemplary parents, I also love myself very much and have been told to have very high self esteem...so it couldnt have been bad parenting or the effect of divorced parents or something, cuz it doesnt apply to me i guess.
Sorry, no one answered in rental area!
I was going to buy a mobilehome in a nice park. Long story short, on further inspection the place needed more work then we were told, and were willing to do. The people we were going to buy it from, well, weren't happy about us not signing the contract, and moving out. The manager of the park knew that the situation between us and the sellers wasn't good and that we probably would no longer talk. When I went to sign the form that we're moving, because we waited till after the first we wouldn't recieve our deposit back, but she did tell us that it would be applied to next months space rent. When the owner of the mobile spoke with her, she admitted we were upto date, but they (the owners,) will have to pay space rent on the 1st of Nov., which was supposed to be paid with our deposit. Can she legally do this, and we're also wondering if she is pocketing this? I mean, we are upto date on space rent, the lot was left in better condition then when we moved in, and when we left she did say it would go to the space rent for Nov. Any site that can actually give me real rights instead of e-mailing an attorney? I live in Lincoln County Nebraska. Does she legally have to give us the # to the actual owner of the mobilehome park, or is there a way we can find this out ourselves, if so how?

Chapter 1 - New Beginning
"I hate this place!" Anthony Terkins murmured angrily to himself, as he plopped his ivory green bag onto his bed, shaking out his plump, fair arms for they were quite sore from carrying the bag up the big wooden stairs. The dark tinted, wooden flooring creaked beneath his favourite pair of Nike sneakers as he lifted himself onto his bed. Crossing his arms, he let out a big sigh of fury. Anthony's big silver eyes gazed around the old, beige barren room which was now his own. It’s been just barely one day, and Anthony hated living with his mother already.
When Anthony was 5 years old, his parents had got into a huge quarrel and had gotten a divorce. Ever since then, Anthony had always lived in his father's mansion with his father in New York. The only time Anthony would see his mother would be when his mother would fly out to New York to visit Anthony. Anthony's father never did let him fly out to Canada to visit his mother. "He's only a child," His father would make up excuses to Anthony's mother, "He shouldn't be shipped back and forth like cargo". His father did not trust Anthony's mother to take care of him. His father didn't believe that Anthony's mother would be a suitable parent and provide Anthony with all of his needs, for she didn't make as much money painting sceneries and selling them, as his father had working as a dentist in the local Dental office.
When Anthony had turned 10 years old, everything had changed. Anthony's father was diagnosed with Leukemia and was always at the hospital, whether it was for tests or for treatments. "Shouldn't I tell mummy?" Anthony would ask his father, who lay limp in the hospital bed, looking as white as a ghost, "Maybe she could help make you feel better." Anthony's father would shake his head, sweep Anthony’s tiny hand into his own and tell Anthony "Its best we keep all of this between the two of us. We wouldn't want your mother worrying about us, now would we?" As it seemed, Anthony's dad wanted to keep Anthony by his side for as long as he could, and didn't want his ex wife to take Anthony away from him. Anthony's life was turning into a hectic mess, as he sat by the sidelines, helplessly worried, watching his father get worse and worse as each month flew by.
Four months after his father had been diagnosed, Anthony's mother had decided to pop by New York, just to see how Anthony was doing. She had gotten so furious with Anthony's father, as he hadn't told her at all what was going on. So Anthony's mother offered to take in Anthony until his father had gotten better. His father knew he wasn't in any kind of condition to argue with Anthony's mother, so he accepted the offer.
When his mother came to Anthony and told him that he was to come and live with her in Canada until his father was well again he threw an absolute fit, stomping his feet on the ground and waving his tiny knuckles in the air. Anthony had lived with his father for five years, which seemed like to Anthony basically his whole life. He didn't want to leave everything behind now. But what choice did he have? After all, he was only 10 years old.
your truthful opinion? I'm still not finished the first chapter.
Cool advice David ^_^
Another Question:
I've been really stuck on how "not" to say Anthony's name in every sentance. Any ideas?
I'm 15 years old... and thanks Jack, thats not a bad idea.
and you get straight A's for great encouragment and advice Accio Severus Snape ^_^
Me and my roommate have been friends since college. We met because I was dating one of her sorority sisters at the time. I have been broken up with her for a while now and that girl is now married with a child and I have no interest in getting back with her. My roommate and I have been living together now for a year and a half and have known her for over four years now. We occasionally hang out outside of the apartment. We also generally eat supper together every night. We have never been physical with each other. There is the occasional flirting but I can't tell if it is just friendly. Also she has made comments about finding me a girl or setting me up with one of her friends but at the same time she has never actually tried to do this. Could she be hiding feelings by saying these things. My family loves her and wishes we were together. She knows this. Her family likes me but I have no clue whether they would like to see us together. I do feel they would be happy about it because I know they trust me and know that I would take care of their daughter. Neither of us is currently dating anyone else and haven't for a while. I am just afraid to say anything to her about how I feel because we do live together and it is a great living condition. Also I really love our friendship and don't want to complicate that or make it weird between us. What are some signs that I could watch for that could indicate she shares my feelings. I would be more confident to tell her if I sensed there wouldn't be weirdness or that she may share these feelings. Or should I just try to forget about us and find someone else. I really think we would be perfect together but I just can't figure out if she thinks the same way. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I can provide any other information to help me figure this out. Just let me know what else you need to know to help in my delema. Much thank yous to anyone who wishes to help.
I've been in a beautiful and very intense relationship with a coworker for 2 months. ( Now I just left the company and joined another). I am very sure he had feelings for me and it was strong. 1 week ago he got into a terrible car accident on the road. his car is completely destroyed and he survived somehow, thank God. He is still recovering but he is not in the worst condition possible. Since this one week things went terrible... He will never call me, he will never sms me, he will never ask about me.. I make effort to call and he speaks ok with me Ilike colleagues, friends), I send sms, sometimes he replies sometimes he doesn't. He has a way to get on the net to talk to me, and he never does!! He is in another city 500 km from here and I can't be with him all the time because of my new work. But I wento see him once in the hospital. (As he doesn't want his family to know we are together for now (there are religious reasons) I had to act like I was a colleague and he was ok with me. We laughted and joked. It was so difficult for me. His ex wife always with him and she is taking care of him... I don't want it to be over, I am wiling to wait till he recovers to get back what he had. But I don't know what he wants and how to ask, I also don't want to put extra stress on him... before he was crazy to see me, call me, he would do it any time!! And now I understand his situation but it can't end this way! Help me to deal with it, I am tired of being low.
46 minutes ago - 1 week left to answer.
He is not getting with his ex, she is married. There is just no one to take care of him thats' all..
I can't go on, I am so weak on my new work I need to know where we are going, like this I will go outwith someone else and try forgetting him, anything!!!!!!
I am sure he is still in death shock. Will it be preassure if I ask him about us now?? After 2 months when he is out I dont' want to have to get over him when he is totally over me!
I just think that if he told me its over It will be clear and over i will be fine with this... But I WANT TO KNOW!!!! Let him send me even sms and i will be content and I will understand... he says nothing

Sorry the rest got cut off but you get the idea.
Thoughts please. Remember Letterman is a Democrat.
Fret?? And if it is?? The point of the question was not to see if some hack could take a swipe at me. And check your own facts I am not here to educate the ignorant anymore, if I did site it you would still not believe. Or worse still slander this country. POINT proven. I only wish it was up to the asker to award points.
Latex.. I will apologize to you and the rest for the Source of the site, it seems that the source was Craig Smith. However the facts remain the same reguardless of who said what. Now could the haters answer the question.
Latex now I have to take it back YOUR site proves the letter is fact.
http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/l/leno-commentary.htm Just in case you want to reread your site.
What does that have to do with the basis of the letter? Shame like most inciting posters on this site you do not allow e-mail. I can only wonder why? Now the thoughts (once again) I requested had to do with content not author.
It is not a celebration of the letter, I simply wanted to point out that, as you sit at your computer drinking your 3 latte of the day you and I mean YOU have much less to gripe about than say Obama's brother. Now I do not agree with Bush and believe the whole government has become socialist and is leading in that direction reguardless of who gets in. We need a real fiscal conservative not the spend spend spend we have on both sides of the isle. With more to come from either. So I do see your point of the touting of social ideals however would you rather not have clean water, I have a well and could care less. When I get my wind generator I will have no need of the "social services". I do appreciate the roads though as bad as they are.
Not really following you but here is a motto I like to consider "It is better to be thought a fool, then to open your mouth and remove all doubt."
Ditto. but I like the song lyric better "if I claim to be a wise man it surely means that I don't know"
What part of You do not have as much as Obama's brother to gripe about did you not comprehend? Or are you a "news clip" voter?
Final detail Latex.. You started by insulting me then can not follow a simple statement where is the "disjointed argument"? I stated you have less to complain about than say Obama's brother" you do. And you still never answered the question, you were more into attacking the questioner. So the only opinion of yours I got was how wrong I was in the post which I apologized for my source yet you continued to discredit the facts listed by saying the post was a fake and I take issue with that. You are a typical liberal attack, attack, attack, when someone does not agree with your version of the world.
Do you people read stuff????
Sorry I know it's long but bear with me please?
I was with my boyfriend for about a year. We both said we've never been so in love, and our kids got along well, and he said many times that we were "right" for each other. He discovered a chronic medical condition back in May and now he will struggle every day to have a normal life or even be able to work. Ever since then, he had become more distant and less affectionate.
Well, he broke up with me, saying he didn't want a long term relationship (He used to talk about "us" years down the road and had even said that he would like to live together someday) and that I was wonderful to him but now he decided he didn't want to be with me.
But he still calls me every day, invites me to do things, and (admittedly) gets jealous when he hears or thinks about me dating other men. But every time we are together, he makes it a point to remind me that he doesn't want to be with me, and he knows that I am still in love with him.
I know I should cut ties, but I'm not going to, that is not my question so please don't tell me that. I want to know why is he doing this?
Honest answers please. Considering thousands of years, generation after generation and these world conditions.
Would you say there is a God who cares about us?
Forget about the Bible for a second, just look at reality and everyday life for the past 3000+ years of history.
Steve N, My aunt just died, she was burried in front of my eyes. I did not see her fly away to heaven for "eternety". Please focus on reality, that's what this question is about. reality, not books, stories of things to come. Just plain old reality.
Lan R, Just Nature works to perfection, I specially like how God created wild animals to devour each other for food. It's also interesting how he created insects that spread deases, deserts, extremely cold an hot weather which only causes problems for all living things. Well, should i go on.
This is going to take me quite a bit to get all of this out, but essentially, I've been with my girlfriend for 3 years now, and I am still unsure as to marriage or not. I know she would like us to get married, but I have a really hard time talking about it with her, and in the past I have not talked very openly about it. To be honest it is a bit hard to be totally open with her about some things. Now before I get all kinds of responses like, well if you don't know by now then you have your answer type of responses.... there's quite a bit to know about the situation. The last real relationship I was in lasted 7 years, we were engaged, and I broke it off since the engagement was going no where, and I think she said yes, though really never meant it. We were engaged for over a year, and I was the only person to bring the conversation up. Now the roles are reversed. My present girlfriend drops hints all the time like talking about rings and stuff, but I cant get her to talk about us and if we should get married without here getting really upset at me, because I can never talk about things. We enjoy spending nearly 95% of our time with each other, but when this comes up, things get ugly pretty fast, her frustration with me is peaked. I wish I could find a marriage exam of sorts of questions to go through to help me know what to do, and to use as a discussion piece with her,but I cant find anything. Also, I am 32 she is 31, and I know her clock is ticking syndrome is a factor. Plus there are medical conditions that affect both of us, that would make it very difficult to enter the dating scene again, but not impossible, so there are some feelings of being trapped there. But again I cant stress, that we get along very well, have a ton of fun, and for the most part, I could see myself with her, but there are these other issues that are preventing me from seeing things clearly. Communication on the Cons list has got to be the biggest factor, serious communication gets rough at times, because we frequently seem to be on two totally different planes. I could go on forever, but I am hoping some people have some follow up questions that will help me dig more into the subject to get at an answer.
Plus another thing I thought of is that I would consider myself to be a workaholic, I always need music on, and I can never be left to my own devices to think about my life, as I tend to be pretty easily depressed. I need to be constantly busy, otherwise I tend to think of so many negative things, which i am sure is why I have a hard time talking about things, because I never allow myself to ponder.
To clarify, the exam I was referring to was the test you take when you sit down with your priest, and they have you run through 75ish some questions that they use to help determine if two people are fit for a christian marriage .

Because the 'Media' told you he was failing to

Make no mistake about it.
The troops in Iraq and Afghanistan have
Volunteered to serve, and in many cases may have
Died for your freedom. There is currently no
Draft in this country. They didn't have to go.
They are able to refuse to go and end up with
either a ''general'' discharge, an 'other than
honorable'' discharge or, worst case scenario, a
''dishonorable' ' discharge after a few days in
the brig.
So why then the flat-out discontentment
in the minds of 69 percent of Americans?
Say what you want but I blame it on the
media. If it bleeds it leads and they
specialize in bad news. Everybody will watch a
car crash with blood and guts How many will
watch kids selling lemonade at the corner?
Here are the guidelines the teacher gave me:
WHY I HAVE TO DO IT:
We've been reading about characters in plays and novels who pursue justice, and we've been discussing what motivates these characters to kill, lie, cheat, sacrifice, die, and rise above the human condition in the name of justice. But what about us ---- the real people? Isn't pursuing justice something we do too? You bet it is. From the kid who beats up his friend for tattling on him to the wife who shoots her abusive husband ---- pursuing justice is a reality for humans, regardless of age, gender, culture, or century we live in. The purpose of this assignment is for you to connect our thematic unit in literature to everyday life.
HOW TO DO IT:
Find an article from a newspaper or magazine or the Internet. (I would suggest using a magazine like Newsweek or Time. If you pick an article from Sports Illustrated or Ebony, you better make darn sure it relates to pursuing justice and not shooting hoops or filing your nails. Off-topic articles will not receive credit.) Cut it out. Type up a summary paragraph that, yes, you guesed it, summarizes the article. Then (on the same page if you wish) type up an analysis paragraph that offers some insight and response to the situation.
There's more than that to the guidelines, but it's about how to write the analysis and stuff, and I'm not asking any of you to do that for me.
I'm just asking you to please give me some links to articles that pertain to the pursuit of justice. Thank you.
This morning my step-son came round. Since I am vertically disadvantaged, I said to him, 'Look, I can't clean the top of the kitchen cupboards.' He said, 'Oh you poor little lady!' and that was it. Just now a male friend came round to use my computer. I pointed out the tide line and he said, 'Um'.
Both times when I was 7/8 months pregnant and couldn't drive I had to push the car. The second time was really annoying. My husband had parked the car on what he thought was a parking place clear of snow (Grindelwald, Switzerland) when we came back he realised it was ice. I started pushing the car, whilst my husband sat in the driving seat ready to put in the power as soon as he felt the tyres grip and I heard two men talking about us. One said, 'It's disgusting letting a woman in that condition push a car.' Naturally they didn't come over to help.
I'm asking these questions out of general curiosity, but please be truthful and accurate in your responses--keeping in mind some laws might vary from state to state. Thanks.
1. If a criminal suspect in police custody is about to be interrogated, the Miranda warning must be given. The last line states, "If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed for you." How does the government appoint one in such a situation in a fair and unbiased manner? Does the party have the option of firing lawyers and asking for another? Does the government pay the attorney in full?
2. If a witness refuses to comply with a subpoena because his life is being threatened by people connected to one of the parties and informs the court of this, what else could the party be charged with? Would the witness still be held in contempt?
3. Under what possible conditions can a jury member be dropped from a jury? If a jury member is being threatened and refuses to continue with the trial, could he be held in contempt?
4. Exactly how does a jury get selected to ensure maximum fairness? Does the court look at race, gender, educational level, political party affiliation, etc.? Also, how did OJ get a jury consisting of nine blacks and ten women?
5. Is a defendant allowed to plead not guilty due to an impermissible defense such as temporary insanity?
6. If an eye-witness to a crime does not report it, could he be charged with negligence?
7. Do all jury members have to be replaced in the result of a retrial?
8. Does the jury influence sentencing in any way, or is it also entirely up to the judge?
9. If a defendant is declared too incompetent to stand trial, yet has committed a crime serious enough to be a danger to the public if released, does he remain incarcerated indefinitely? Can a competency evaluation be retaken again and again?
2 days ago I picked 3 members of my family up from a major London airport. Upon arrival I could not find the collection point for arrivals so I circled the area twice attempting to look for the correct place; as I am sure many other people do who are unfamiliar with the area.
On the second pass of the car park I was stopped with my 15 year old son present in the car by armed police officers, shouting out at the top of their voices for me to stop behind their checkpoint. I complied and was asked to leave the car and provide details of my name and address (as was my son). They were all verified and the grounds given for the stop were anti-terrorist related. I have no quarms with being stopped as I am sure that this is a highly sensitive site but the events that followed are of concern.
At no point was the inside of my car searched or was myself or my son (this seems one of the obvious procedures being a suspected terrorist stop). It seemed that the police were not entirely concerned about us being terrorists as they spent an inordinate amount of time checking the tyres, windows, tax and general condition of my car. As I drive a high spec car and maintain it properly they rightly could not find any faults with the condition of the vehicle to their chagrin.
After around 25-30 minutes of inspections of my car EXTERIOR they approached me and declared that my license plates were not of the correct dimensions. I was given a £30 fixed penalty and nothing more.
At all times during the 25-30 minute stop 2 armed police officers were training their weapons on both me and my son. Neither of us found the incident traumatising, what I am annoyed with however is the reason for us being stopped and the following events.
Surely being stopped on anti-terrorist ground the condition of the vehicle should be at the back of their minds, with the contents and passengers being at the front of their minds. I cannot make it clear enough that I strongly believe that these officers used these anti-terrorist powers simply to stop my car in order to perform the checks listed above and not what they claimed to stop me for, as they spent most of the time trying to find fault with my car. I could see in their faces that they were to some degree annoyed that they could not find fault with the tyres, windows etc as they had spent no less then 10 minutes examining them.
Can you please share your views with me on this subject and if any of you are involved in law enforcement and other fields give me your thought on this.
I am white. Secondly the plates are the ones I got from the dealership and I have already taken the matter up with them, its a 57 plate car with no personalised marks or slanted lettering. The stop was not for the plates it was for suspected terrorist activity, which they showed no regard for as they did not even search the car???
I am in no way dramaticizing the event. At one point my son attempted to get back into the car to get his phone with the 2 armed police officers behind us, but was approached with guns drawn and directed to return to my side.
Please ask before making sweeping remarks about a situation you did not witness.
My complaint is already in the post.

My apologies if that irritates you JG, you must have a low tolerance threshold.
I need to make it clear that I was nothing but polite and patient. I am a qualified MD and cannot think why they went out of their way to do this.
As far as 'no harm done', my son and I were left in the cold for 25 mintues and my parents were left waiting in the airport for an additional 30 minutes after being delayed for 4 hours.
I understand the need for vigilance but this was traffic cops disguising car stops as anti-terrorism.
Jay Leno on President Bush
No matter what your political convictions are
this is eye opener.
What a thankless people we are!!!
Jay Leno wrote this; it's the Jay Leno we
don't often see....
As most of you know I am not a President
Bush fan, nor have I ever been, but this is not
about Bush, it is about us, as Americans, and it
seems to hit the mark
'The other day I was reading Newsweek
magazine and came across some Poll data I found
rather hard to believe. It must be true given
the source, right?
The Newsweek poll alleges that 67
percent of Americans are unhappy with the
direction the country is headed and 69 percent of
the country is unhappy with the performance of
the President. In essence 2/3 of the citizenry
just ain't happy and want a change. So being the
knuckle dragger I am, I started thinking, 'What
are we so unhappy about?''
A.. Is it that we have electricity and
running water 24 hours a day, 7 Days a week?
B.. Is our unhappiness the result of
having air conditioning in the summer and heating
in the winter?
C.. Could it be that 95.4 percent of
these unhappy folks have a job?
D.. Maybe it is the ability to walk
into a grocery store at any time and see more
food in moments than Darfur has seen in the last
year?
E.. Maybe it is the ability to drive our
cars and trucks from the Pacific Ocean to the
Atlantic Ocean without having to present
identification papers as we move through each
state?
F.. Or possibly the hundreds of clean
and safe motels we would find along the way that
can provide temporary shelter?
G.. I guess having thousands of
restaurants with varying cuisine from around the
world is just not good enough either.
H. Or could it be that when we wreck
our car, emergency workers show up and provide
services to help all and even send a helicopter
to take you to the hospital.
I.. Perhaps you are one of the 70
percent of Americans who own a home.
J.. You may be upset with knowing that
in the unfortunate case of a fire, a group of
trained firefighters will appear in moments and
use top notch equipment to extinguish the flames,
thus saving you, your family, and your
belongings.
K.. Or if, while at home watching one
of your many flat screen TVs, a burglar or
prowler intrudes, an officer equipped with a gun
and a bullet-proof vest will come to defend you
and your family against attack or loss.
L.. This all in the backdrop of a
neighborhood free of bombs or militias raping and
pillaging the residents. Neighborhoods where
90% of teen agers own cell phones and computers.
M.. How about the complete religious,
social and political freedoms we enjoy that are
the envy of everyone in the world?
Maybe that is what has 67% of you folks
unhappy.
Fact is, we are the largest group of
ungrateful, spoiled brats the world has ever
seen. No wonder the world loves the U.S ., yet
has a great disdain for its citizens. They see
us for what we are. The most blessed people in
the world who do nothing but complain about what
we don't have, and what we hate about the country
instead of thanking the good Lord we live here.
I know, I know. What about the
president who took us into war and has no p lan to
get us out? The president who has a measly 31
percent approval rating? Is this the same
president who guided the nation in the dark days
after 9/11? The president that cut taxes to
bring an economy out of recession? Could this

corporations. They offer what sells, and when

'justifying' them in one way or another. Just ask
why they tried to allow a murderer like O.J.
Simpson to write a book about how he didn't kill
his wife, but if he did he would have done it
this way......Insane!

Jay Leno
we talk on the phone faithfully every night and when we do i feel so connected to him he really wants to be with me and i know this but when we're at school he more so plays around and jokes alot, i know he means no harm its just for some reason i cant shake the feeling that he has something to hide. He's just to perfect for me. He saids that its because im so use to guys doing wrong by me and i dont know maybe he's right but im not sure i do have trust issues and i know this but how do i change? how do i trust him when trusting people has never been apart of me? i dont know how to trust and on top of all that im 7 months pregnant with someone else's child. How do i accept the fact that another man wants to be in my life with my condition?
When my hubby was a little kid my mother in law was never there for him. She was always out in the streets doing drugs with her druggy friends. Eventually my husbands parents divorced and my father in law got custody of my husband and his younger siblings. My husband and I have been married 4 years and I would say about a year later she came into the picture. My mother in law tried to convince us that she was getting clean and that she had left that life behind her. My hubby and I being skeptical about it kept our distance from her. She would call us maybe twice a year if that, we would try to call her maybe every two months or so. Well during this past year she finally settled and moved into her own apartment and got herself her own cell phone which makes it easier for us to call. This past year we have kept more in contact with her and had the chance to finally go see her. My hubby and I are both in the Military and it’s hard for us to find the time off. Well our first visit we got a chance to see the living conditions she was living in. My hubby and I both saw how much she was struggling for every day things, so out of our own will we decided to help her, out not financially but with the things she needed the most like: pots & pans, dinner wear, cups, plates, clothes etc. We eventually sat down and had a talk about the drug life she had lived, then and there she said that she was sorry for everything she had done and that she would never do it again, that her children where her life. Well my hubby and I told her that if she stayed out of that life that we would be around, but if she went back to it than she might as well forget about us because we weren’t going to stick around to see the aftermath.
I recently got an e-mail from my husbands younger sister stating that she had found a crack pipe inside her house. I really didn’t know what to think of this situation because his sister has been known to lie. Well I showed the e-mail to my husband and he said lets call her and find out if it‘s true. When we called her and asked if this was true she said “YES IT’S TRUE”, and when we asked why she did it if she managed to stay clean for awhile, her reason was “I really needed to clean my house and I needed a boost”, I really couldn’t believe what I had just heard. I turned and looked at my husband in his eyes I saw his heart shatter in a million pieces. When I asked her if you needed a boost why didn’t you just take an energy drink??? her response was “Oh, do those really work?” I was so mad at that point, it hurt me so bad to see my husband hurting. She said that this was the only time she had done it to clean her house and that “She wasn’t going to do it again”. I asked her you promised us that you weren’t going to do it again and your broke that promise how are we suppose to trust you now??? Her response was “You can trust me, I wont do it again” My husband just told her that he had to think about thing and that if he thought she deserved another chance that he would call her back and if he didn’t then it meant that he had lost us. I talked to her after that and told her that she had really messed up and I would stand behind my hubby’s decision.
At this point I really don’t know what to advice my husband. Half of me wants to cut her off because of her reason to do the drugs was so stupid, I can’t trust her anymore, and I can’t bare to see my husband being hurt. My hubby and I just found out yesterday that this wasn’t the first time she has done it since she sat down and talked to us about how she wasn’t going to do it anymore, my hubby’s older brother told us that this wasn’t the first time she done drugs, that him himself has walked in on her and seen her do it, this is coming from my husband favorite brother and we trust his word. So all this time my mother in law has been lieing to us which pisses me off even more. The other half of me doesn’t want to cut her off because that is his mother, my kids grandmother. She’s and older women and she knows right from wrong, and who are we really to tell her what to do?
I just feel stuck. I don’t want my kids to be around a druggy grandma.
She has been in rehab before but she ended up leaving rehab a week into it, and refuses to go back in.
I don’t know what to do! Please Help Me! What would you do if you where in my situation??
a.)you'll learn so much new things
b.)prepares you for life
c.)if you have a positive outlook you'll make plenty of friends
all that is massive bullshit. Basically, you really don't learn anything new, but rather repeat everything you learned in elementry and middle school until you can do it in your sleep. we are so distracted by annoying drama and peer pressure that we can't even focus on preparing for the real world. and the whole "positive outlook" gets you nowhere. at my school believe it or not people don't like you if you're to nice or peppy. plus with all the crap you have to deal with you can''t help but feel like shit sometimes. *sigh* and on top of that we have those jackass teachers that couldn't give a flying beep about us and just go and drown us with overwhelming work. and i dont know why this happens, but its always true. The heaters only work during the summer and the air conditioning only works in the winter. and its always either freezing cold or fuggin hot.
but overall, you have to love it.
for example, the info they start to teach you after elemetry is crap. i don't think the ability to classify rocks into different types of sediments or learning how to graph parabalas is gonna help me in life.
When things started with my bf, he called and txt'd all the time. He was very sweet and considerate. At about the 4 month mark he had finished a semester of his education program and would only be working for the summer, so thought it would be nice. Things were great! Then we got into a tiff because he wouldn't call when he said he would and it spurred a week long silence. Then we were ok for another week or so, and then he once again just stopped calling and txt-ing. He did lose his job due to economic conditions and is trying to rebuild, but he has completely cut me out. He ignores most texts, but will talk to me if I call. He says he has a lot of thing he is thinking about and needs to work them out on his own, but not to be worried - we are OK. In my mind, when you are in a relationship (we've been together 5 months) you share with the other person and keep them included. I feel he's changed his mind about us. Thoughts?
me and my husband dont work, he has always worked and was quite a high tax payer. he had a road accident last year
and is getting better a year before that i was diagnosed with
a rare heart condition that nearly killed me and am on medication for life also two of our children were diagnosed with aspergers our 14 year old son can't go out alone because of the roads. anyway i feel there is alot of gossip going on about us even our neighbour has made a comment saying her neighbour works also i have had some
cross the road to avoid me, now i am a nice person and i feel this situation quite stressful. my husband is going back
to work soon. i feel everyone is talking.
my husband and i are separated. infidelity on my part. after seven years of not seeing or even talking, (because he hates me so much to the point of filing an adultery case against me), august of last year, he started communicating then told me he still loves me and was willing to work things out with me. we tried making things work but with one condition, let everything that is happening between us be discreet (he told me he is not ready that friends and relatives will know and start to talk about us). i understood his point, t'was just to avoid getting various opinions from others. but if did not work out. reason: he got mad when i posted our new photos on friendster. then he started avoiding me. after 3 months, again, we regularly see each other coz i brought our kids with me for vacation (we work in the UAE, kids left in home country). we dont talk about us getting back together, but he makes me feel by his actions that he wants to fix things. i want him to say he still loves me..

L.. This all in the backdrop of a neighborhood free of bombs or militias raping and pillaging the residents.
Neighborhoods where 90% of teenagers own cell phones and computers.
The most blessed people in the world who do nothing but complain about what we don't have, and what we hate about the country instead of thanking the good Lord we live here.
My bro and I haven't spoke in about 5 years because of his relationship with an older woman. It all started when she started telling him lies about us, saying that we're jealous of him and we(his family) didn't want him to be happy. My bro and I recently started speaking again. Just about every other day he calls me saying he's going to leave, but doesn't. It's a pattern she is 13 years older and they met in halfway house. His age then was 19. She has 3 kids from 3 different men. One of the children is disabled and has to be constantly cared for. The child is capable of some self care but chooses not too. My brothers living conditions are poor to say the least. His situation is her fault, according to him; including stomach ulcers and inability to choose not to work. They're on government assistance. Our parents are fed up and are tired of helping him. He now turns to me ever since our parents moved out of state. It's been a month and I too have grown tired of his pattern. Advice?

Well you already know the ending, the beautiful girl marries the handsome prince, and they live happily ever after. Well that was the fairy tale, this is the real story. Remember me the wicked stepmother Esmerelda. I may be a stepmother of Cinderella but I am NOT Evil. “You might be thinking why should I believe a old lady with a mole on her nose”, well for your information I have dignity and you should believe me because Cinderella is evil and to prove to you I will tell you the true story of Cinderella!
The True Story Of Cinderella!
Cinderella may seem copasetic but inside she is as keen as a rat! What am I talking about you all may wonder? Well if you are that confused then why don’t I start from the beginning of beginning? Once upon a time the old saying goes, there used to be a very timid man, his daughter was just born and the mother had just died. It seemed as if his whole life was going to be full of sorrow. Just when he was about to become a man of sorrow, he saw a beautiful maiden walking toward him. Instantly did he fall in love with her and asked her to marry him. And instantly did the Maiden accept. In all this gossip, who do you think the maiden is? ME! Well, let’s forget about that.
After our, Marriage he showed me Cinderella. Oh how beautiful she looked, so fragile, so sweet, but how should I know she was villainous inside. During the days, as quick as summer turned into winter did my 2 daughters are born. Anastasia and Drizella, those were the names. Even though they were my real daughters I loved them all equally! As the years passed Cinderella grew and with it she became more far away from us, and the more far away she was the more wicked she became.
But as it was Cinderella was still my daughter even if she was ignoring me, and treating Anastasia and Drizella like servants I loved her. One day, exactly at 5:32 Cinderella’s teatime did I walk to her room. As I was walking I heard Cinderella Whisper to her self it seemed like and
There I stopped absently. “ I want to get out of this shaggy place, little rat,
This place is so horrible”, screeched Cinderella! “ One day I am going to marry a brilliant prince and with the money will I buy many riches, gold, diamonds and many more. Those are what I want”.
Why! At those words I was utterly shocked, how could my dear Cinderella do this? At this I knew I had to do something, but what? As nights went by summer was soon approaching. The air became moisture, and the scent of flowers and pollen carried through the air by the bees became more and more frequent! Then one day did the letter come. That day I was in the kitchen telling the servants orders when the door rang. I went out and received it. There stood a small man!
His glasses were as round as a plate, his eyes crooked, and his nose thin and sharp. “ Dear Madam, he said, his voice was horse as if he had just drank some coffee, the prince wants everyone to come to the Ball… there if he sees anyone he likes he would marry her”. At these words I took the letter and told the girls. “Cinderella, Anastasia and Drizella come down, I said and with it they did.
“The prince is having a ball and we are invited! (Cheers went on.) Get your gracious dresses and jewels. We have less then 3 days to get ready! Anastasia and Drizella were already rustling to their rooms, while Cinderella just stood there. “ Are you excited I asked?” “Oh, yes,” she said. The way she said it made my skin itch, it seemed as if she was mocking me. Then it hit me! How could I have forgotten it!
I remembered the night! Didn’t Cinderella want to betray the person she wanted to marry and get the Jewels for her self? Would she love the prince if he asked her to marry her? Would she kill him?? Questions jammed into my head! I needed a plan and plan I had! Well, with that I hurried up stairs and went to Cinderella and said, “ Cinderella Come here this minute, I have a condition for you. If you really want to come then do these list of this and then you can come.” This will put Cinderella off the hook I thought.
The list was amazingly huge, it would be impossible for her to finish with out help and I told the servants not to help her! As me and my daughters were about to leave I went to Cinderella who at the time was looking hopelessly at the list.
At the sight of me, she came to me and said, “ You piece of taste less filth how can you not let me go! Huh? I need those riches!” her screams were wild as if she was a mad person!! Her cries were piercing, penetrating, powerful, painful, and pitched! As soon as we were ready did we get out the house! As the carriage was running up to the ball did a lump of guilt from by stomach come up to my throat! Still, I have to ignore it for the benefit of my child!
In the ball we all were having great time, just as we were starting another dance did we hear a carriage run up the drive. It was a beautifully made carriage with strong horses. The designs of the Carriage were astonishing. The Craft, oh it was breath taking! Amazing I thought if the Carriage was like this, what about the person! Everyone was eager to see who it was and so was I.
To my surprise the person who came out of the carriage was not a old women, wasn’t a teen, and certainly wasn’t a family but to my astonishment it was Cinderella her self. At first I couldn’t gather my self! How can Cinderella come? Has she finished? No certainly not! So how did she and where did she get the carriage and oh and that dress. That dress was something. It was blue and sparkles all over it. The word Beautiful cannot express that dress. It was dainty, darling, delicate, and diaphanous.
How can she come? That question lingered on me till now! Fairy godmother they say! Why should I believe that it is just one of the child talks! As everyone gathered to see Cinderella the prince himself came. He was utterly amazed I might say, I mean looking at his face; you can see the words clearly written.
The most surprising thing was the dance. Cinderella and the prince dancing. Cinderella acted as if she did not even know me! What an insult it was! Any way till the beginning till end the prince and Cinderella spend most time together, Well until Cinderella disappeared that is! She left her glass slipper behind, what a joke it was. Some of the people said that her dress was changing into rags? That her gloves
